Can you believe it’s been 5 month already since we are in Canada??? It still feels like a dream! I’m sorry I didn’t make a blog post earlier but the time sure flies by very fast! I got many emails asking when I would finally show some pictures 😀 and write about our experience here in Canada.
I have many pictures, that’s for sure 😀 Ok, where do I start? Well, my son Liam started School (Kindergarten) in August and we couldn’t believe it when his teacher told us there will be another german child in Liam’s Class who doesn’t speak english yet either!!! They moved to Canada around the same time as we did. The first months they were hanging out a lot but just 2 months later his teacher told me they have other friends now as well and talk in english to them. In the beginning Liam didn’t like when we were speaking in english to him. The first few weeks at school he came home frustrated because he couldn’t talk to the other kids in school. And now? He even speaks with strangers in english. Our daughter Michelle says everything what Liam says 😀 so she is learning english, too.
I got a job as an administrative assistant and I don’t think I’ve ever had such a nice and caring boss in my career. 🙂 Well, except when I’m working as a photographer. „smile“
We really enjoy the time here, it’s not always easy but totally worth it! Canadians are such a friendly folk. We made many friends already and my Cousin’s family here treats us as their family, too.
There are so many activities for children, you don’t even know where to start. Our Kids love it here and they are so happy everyday. Bad times are when we are missing our family back in germany and I am so glad we all have skype and what’s app. Makes us feel a little closer.
We celebrated Thanks Giving already (Thanks to Pat and Gord Boswell, my Cousins Parents in law for an incredible dinner , of course with Turkey) and our first Halloween. The Kids were so excited to go from door to door for Trick or Treat. They got lots of candies.
We went to Cultus lake in the summer very often, such a beautiful Lake! I usually don’t like to swim in lakes but I really enjoyed it. The water is so clear and doesn’t stink at all. 😀 And our first car is almost as old as I am 🙂
We want to say a huge THANK YOU to our cousin Gabi and her husband Phil. Without you we wouldn’t be here!!! Thank you so much for all your help and your friendship.
And we also want to say thank you to Phil’s Family and our friends here in Canada. Thank you for helping and supporting us. 🙂
I take pictures quite often with my iPhone 🙂 so you’ll be seeing some of them in this blog, too 🙂 I have to make a second blog post for the Halloween pictures, so stay tuned…
